Sanctuary Cities
This illustration was created for an article that explained how sanctuary cities keep undocumented immigrants protected.

The top 3 stamps in the pile are from important sanctuary cities in California. To depict these cities as a "sanctuary" for immigrants, I decided to use stamps with small, welcoming phrases on them instead of drawing out immigrants in the cities.
This is because stamps are full of symbolism; they are small works of art that show the spirit and wonder of America and keep the American dream alive. The beautiful landscapes on the stamps accentuate the safety and comfort of the cities for immigrants fleeing their country.
